These are the essential tools need to open paper chain pots for filling with potting soil and seeding. The kit includes a frame (CP-30K) and a pair of rods (CP-1). Some farms, especially larger farms, find they may want additional frames (and possibly rods) if they have work crews seeding large numbers of flats at one time because the frame needs to stay in place while using a dibble or seeder. The opening rods can be immediately removed after spreading out a flat of paper pots onto a frame. For this reason, both items are also sold separately. For most small farms, one Opening Kit will suffice.
